I have added two documents as points of reference. The first one is entitiled "2012 Rules of Competition." It contains several sections of the MYSA Admin Manual pertaining to referees that includes the rules of competition. The MYSA Presidents voted that for this season MYSA would NOT attend regionals, therefore, rules pertaining to the National Championship Series do NOT apply this season. All teams, no matter thier classification (select, permier, etc) will play under the same set of rules in compliance with USYSA. There will be no regional qualifying tournament so any sections in the manual referencing those rules do not apply this season. Remember that coaches/bench personnel are not shown any cards but may be dismissed for irresponsible behavior. Also remember, that subs can occur at any stoppage of play with permission of the referee and are unlimited.
The second document is the entire MYSA Administrative Manual that was approved following the 2010 season and is in use for this season should you wish to review any other section.

As many of you are aware there has been growing emphasis on all levels of sports, from youth to professional, on head injuries and concussions in particular. MYSA has had a risk management policy developed within the past rwo years regarding this. As referees our primary repsonsibility is the SAFETY of the players. With that in mind, below is a poster from the US Health & Human Services and the CDC regarding head injury and concussion. Please make yourself familar with this. An email will being sent out to all referees registered with gotsport shortly regarding the upcomong spring season's rules of play as well as our paying attention to this important health issue. Remember, "when in doubt, sit them out."
